Marcus will bring to Council his extensive background in the strategic leadership of high-profile organizations, board governance, public policy, and community leadership. He sat on the West Vancouver Police Board for 6 years, serving as chair of the Finance and Governance Committees. He worked for the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Embassy of Canada (Washington, DC), where he helped strengthen relations with the International Olympic Committee, the World Olympians Association, Olympians Canada, and the United States Congress. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has served on these boards:

As an experienced provincially-appointed tribunal adjudicator, Marcus is an analytical, unbiased, and fact-based decision-maker. He will ensure Council decisions are made solely based on credible information and on a timely basis. As CEO of an athletic wear company, Marcus led corporate planning, operations, and finance. He will apply his financial expertise to run the District efficiently and in a budget-conscious manner so that residents’ tax dollars are spent wisely. Born in 1981 in Vancouver, Marcus grew up and still lives in West Vancouver.
