I’ve been a dedicated, active, and engaged advocate for public education for many years. Prior to my election in 2014, I served on many committees and boards. For the past 4 years I’ve had the honour of being one of your trustees.
My vision is to ensure that all children in our district are nurtured in an educational environment that respects and honours diversity, and unique learning styles and aptitudes, while supplying teachers and staff with the resources they need. As part of our board, I work hard to promote excellence in all of these areas.
I have a good relationship with administrators and members of both unions, and I respect the work they do. I’m not afraid to ask tough questions or face tough realities and I believe I am well prepared to continue the work that comes with being elected to the School Board.
In order to give students the many opportunities that we offer, we ask a lot of our partners in public education, and I, in collaboration with my fellow trustees, must maintain an environment in which everyone is eager manage their roles to a high standard, and adapt to a fast pace of change, all while delivering curriculum through our many programs of choice.
As your Trustee, I will continue to serve our community and our students with integrity, dedication, and enthusiasm, and continue to uphold the West Vancouver tradition of excellence in public education, and I ask you to cast a vote for Sheelah Donahue on October 20th.
