A night of magical fun, beloved holiday tradition celebrated through the beauty of dance and music. The traditional classic is re-worked in collaboration with Monica Proença, world renowned choreographer. Students from Ballet Bloch Canada, Ballet Classique HZ and North Shore Academy of Dance come together bringing classical ballet, contemporary, hip-hop and street jazz to the stage.
Professional artist, Lucas Wilson-Bilbro, displays his talent effortlessly as The Nutcracker Prince. This is the first time the North Shore sees it’s very own production of The Nutcracker and celebrates a coming together of different schools and dance genre to build a shared community in dance.
The presentation demonstrates awareness of how we can all work together and support each other in developing arts and culture in our world. Children from all over Vancouver will share the stage to mark this extraordinary event. They will be the first young performers of an annual tradition. An exciting Christmas story for the whole family.
