In support of Pink Shirt Day, the West Vancouver Child and Family Hub will host Friendship Circles for young children at the Community Centre, featuring stories, songs, and games focusing on friendship. Pink Shirt Day is a national anti-bullying initiative that promotes positive, healthy, supportive relationships and inclusiveness.
Date: Wednesday, February 29, 2012
Time: 10 – 10:30 a.m. and again at 11 – 11:30 a.m.
Place: West Vancouver Community Centre, Atrium, 2121 Marine Drive
The North Shore Child Care Resource and Referral’s ‘Wheel’s’ program – a mobile resource service for families with young children – and a community health nurse will be also be present to answer questions for parent and caregivers about social-emotional development in young children.
Each circle will be a half hour in length and will include stories, songs and games focusing on friendship. Pink T shirts can be purchased at London Drugs. All proceeds go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver.
