When: Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 at 7:00pm

Where: Metro Theatre, 1370 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver

Characters Needed: 3-female; 5-male

HENRY SAUNDERS – (45-55) – Concert Producer. Former mayor of Cleveland.
Stressed with a temper as he tries to produce a concert that’s falling
apart. American accent.
MAX – (30s) – Saunders’ former assistant, now a working tenor in
Henry’s concert. Nervous as his wife (who is Henry’s daughter) is
expecting their first child. American accent.
MARIA MERELLIS – (45-55) – Tito’s long-suffering wife. Hot headed but
loving. Understands that her daughter needs to have a life. Italian accent.
TITO MERELLIS – (50-60) – Dual role. Tito is the world’s premiere
tenor, a hot headed Italian who feels threatened and forgotten as the opera
world embraces a new young star. Beppo is a hotel bellhop who is the
spitting image (and voice) of Tito. Italian accent.
MIMI MERELLIS – (25) – the Merellis’ daughter. An aspiring actress
who went to boarding school in the States. American accent.
CARLO NUCCI – (30ish) – Mimi’s boyfriend. Tenor. The opera world’s
rising star, and Mimi’s boyfriend. American accent.
TATIANA RACÓN – (40-50) – famous soprano. Sexy and sophisticated,
having everything in her life but love. Russian accent.
JACQUES – (30+) – Concert announcer (voiceover only). French accent.

All actors auditioning for tenor roles will need to sing the first verse
and chorus of La Traviata: Brindisi acapella

Callbacks: Thursday, June 20

Rehearsal period: late July through until opening night

Requirements: Auditions will be cold readings from the script; the director
will choose which scenes the group will read. Sides available upon request.

Notes: This is a NON-EQUITY production. All roles at Metro Theatre, are
Volunteer positions. People will be seen on a first come/first served
basis, but be prepared that you may have to sit around and wait as you may
be needed to read opposite someone else who is auditioning.
