Carnaval del Sol is one of the most popular and fun annual festivals taking place in Vancouver. Every July or August tens of thousands of Latin America’s culture fans are drawn by two days of live music, dance, sports, art, and poetry. Carnaval del Sol features more than 450 artists from different countries. The festival is part of the Latin American Week that is taking place in False Creek near BC Place Stadium at Concord Pacific Place.
Carnaval del Sol takes place at various plazas in Vancouver featuring stages for entertainment, great food, live music, and dance. Performers from different countries dance Zumba, Belly Dance, Folklore and more. The art exhibits include Native Canadian and Latin American works, crafts displays, and a Latin American fashion show.
The festival runs from August 6 – 29th this year.
