Karen Fowlie & Friends play an original set of music Saturday night. A mainstay on the Vancouver music scene, Karen Fowlie has received acclaim for her live performances and recordings. Delivering a solid show of original country-rock songs, Karen’s voice might remind you of Neko Case’s or Carrie Underwood.
In the last couple of years, Karen hosted the Centennial Stage in West Vancouver, her band took the main stage at the Great Canadian Bike Rally and her band has opened for Trooper.
Besides performing live, Karen’s recorded songs have obtained notable local and national exposure. Several of Karen’s songs have been featured in the Province Playlist and her music represented BC in a recent Trade Mission to Japan. In addition, Fowlie’s song “Tell Me” received an acknowledgement by BC’s Attorney General.
