Derek Muller is the creator of popular YouTube channel Veritasium and an alumnus of West Vancouver Secondary School.

Veritasium has 1.4 million subscribers and has received over 73 million views, making it the fifth most popular educational channel on YouTube.

The videos feature experiments, expert interviews, cool demos, and discussions with the public about everything science.

Derek has a BSc in engineering physics from Queen’s University and a PhD in physics education from the University of Sydney.

He has been featured on Scientific American, Wired, Gizmodo, CNN, Fox Business, Huffington Post, and has presented around the world including at TEDx Sydney and the Premier Institute for Theoretical Physics.

The evening promises to be entertaining and informative as Derek discusses science and the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything through demonstrations, videos and live performances.
