Description:
Join us for an evening with Gabriel Dhahan, owner and primary consultant from Function5 Solutions. Through his talk, Dhahan aims to dispel the myth of online privacy and to provide tips on how to protect yourself as best as possible while engaging online.

We spend an increasing amount of time online and there is an assumption that our privacy is protected. While antivirus software, firewalls, and strong passwords are said to protect us, none of them actually provides us with absolute privacy. In fact, the concept of online privacy is somewhat of an oxymoron. So, how should you engage in online activities? If your online activities were made public, would your integrity be kept intact?

Gabriel Dhahan is a certified IT professional and has a unique background in business, computers, and psychology. With a passion for technology, a strong dedication to lifelong learning, and a belief in social and political involvement, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and collaborating with others. He currently runs Function5 Solutions, an IT/web consulting company. Dhahan is pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Management Consulting at Royal Roads University.

The evening will consists of a one-hour talk, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. After the event, guests are invited to head over to Roots Cafe (6502 Main Street) for beverages and networking.
