Event Details

Kay Meek Centre

West Vancouver’s first annual Green Screen International Environmental Film Festival, co-sponsored by the Coho Society of the North Shore and the Mark Sager Foundation for the Arts, which aims to engage a large cross-section of the community as well as a broad international audience.

The Green Screen International Environmental Film Festival brings an important environmental focus to the arts and shows the potential of media to help shape our world. The festival runs on November 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th at the Kay Meek Centre and will be screening films from the U.K., France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, the U.S.A., and Canada. These films inspire change, growth, and communication among individuals and point towards a larger community that includes us all.

Mark Sager, former Mayor of West Vancouver, has been asked by Green Screen International Environmental Film Festival to act as Honorary Chair for the festival and he will be presenting at its opening ceremonies this Tuesday, November 1st, which begin with a reception at 7:00 pm followed by awards and screenings from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. Please join Mark Sager at the opening night (Tuesday, November 1) to view some of the inspiring films over the upcoming week.
