Indian Summer is a meteorological phenomenon referring to an unexpectedly sunny period, and consistently above normal temperatures. The term can also be used metaphorically to mean a renaissance, or revival.

Indian Summer Arts Society and Teamwork Productions are the proud producers of the 3rd annual Indian Summer Festival, an international festival that celebrates arts, ideas and diversity, July 4-13, 2013 in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2011 during the official ‘Year of India in Canada’ and Vancouver’s 125th anniversary, the festival showcases top talent from South Asia – across music, dance, literature, film, visual arts, cuisine, yoga and wellness – in conversation with Vancouver and Canadian counterparts.

Indian Summer Arts Society is a Vancouver-based not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to foster cultural collaborations and dialogue between Canada and South Asia, and within communities in Canada. As founding festival directors, Artistic Director Sirish Rao leads the creative vision and Managing Director Laura Byspalko steers operations. They are supported by a dynamic Leadership Council, Board of Directors and dedicated team of volunteers.
