Paris based for the last 20 years, Brazilian master acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter Márcio Faraco crafts songs in the samba, bossa, nova bai’o and chord traditions of his homeland, while throwing in dashes of Portuguese fado, African and Cuban rhythms and most recently, chanson.
He seamlessly finds the delicate balance between simplicity and complexity, tradition and originality while winning over his audiences with his undeniable charm and utter virtuosity. Faraco will be joined by fellow Brazilians Gersen Saeki (bass) and Julio Gonçalves (percussion) and French accordionist, Lionel Suarez.
“Márcio Faraco has a wonderful, almost ethereal voice and he wield its charm to draw the listener into his sound world.” -The World Music Report
