Hi, my name if Geoff Tigg and a I’m fiction novelist who lives in White Rock BC. I have released 5 novels in the last 12 months, and I will be talking about my Detective Kelly O’Brian series at the West Vancouver Library on June 25th, from 7-8:30pm. Kelly O’Brian is a woman detective that is stationed in West Vancouver and the mystery series of stories are typically set in the Lower Mainland, the Gulf Islands and the West Coast of British Columbia.
Each of the four Kelly O’Brian novels in the series have common characters that have their own story that are revealed as the mysteries and events are unravelled. My 5th novel- The Sliammon Escudo is set in Victoria and up the Georgia Strait around Comox and Powell River.
During my talk I will be discussing my novels, outlining why each book was written and providing the audience an opportunity to ask me questions concerning my writing and my experience concerning self publication.
I believe that people like reading stories that are set in places where they live, and I strive to deliver a story that both engages the reader and has characters and places that people can relate to.
