The Seven Ravens is a collaboration between students of the Vancouver Waldorf School and the coworkers and companions with special abilities from the Cascadia Society. The fairytale will be presented in eurythmy, an art of movement – between mime and dance – which expresses the story and the accompanying music.
The music, composed by music director Lorna Fortin, is played on handbells and other instruments. In addition, there will be a performance by Eurythmy Northwest, a professional group from the Puget Sound area. Their repertoire includes pieces by Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin and more.
Two of these pieces will be selected for the daytime performance. The evening performance will include a full ½ hour performance from this group. A local eurythmy group will also perform.
A caroling chorus of bells will set the mood for Advent and the Christmas season.
