Song Street is the right address for music from the stage: opera choruses and scenes from Beethoven, Verdi, Puccini, Purcell, Mozart and Donizetti. And then more music from the lighter side of the street, including some delightful Gilbert and Sullivan, elegantly humourous madrigals from Gian Carlo Menotti and down-home sentiments from Aaron Copland. Conductor John William Trotter and pianist Stephen Smith lead this lively and tuneful end to the 2011-2012 concert season.
