The Walk for Reconciliation is a positive movement with the goal of engaging tens of thousands of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians with the reconciliation movement. The Walk is inclusive and we invite people of all ages, ethnicity, faiths and denominations to walk with us to honour the intergenerational impact of the residential school system and the current realities of our present societies. In 2013 we saw 70,000 individuals attend.
The Walk will begin in downtown Vancouver and will end in Strathcona Park where we will be hosting the Walk Expo. At the Expo there will be community booths, artisans, food trucks, singing, dancing and an address by a Keynote Speaker.
