On Saturday April 28th 2012 Dreams Take Flight will hold it’s 1st Annual Swing Fling Dinner & Dance Fundraiser at the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond. Barry Deley, from Global BC, will host & MC this event. The festivities start at 6:00pm and run until midnight. There will be a fabulous three-course plated dinner, live entertainment from SIDEone, dancing, live and silent auctions and much more with all funds raised going toward the 20th Annual Dreams Take Flight trip on October 16th, 2012. Tickets are available for $175 per person and $1200 for a table of 8.

DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT is an Air Canada employee driven charity in its 20th year of making dreams take flight for children across the Lower Mainland and BC and is made up of active/retired employees, many volunteers and incredible sponsors. Our goal every year is to send 125 children with special needs to Disneyland for one day so that they can forget their grown up worries and just be a kid for the day. Countless volunteer hours are spent fund-raising and organizing the one-day all expense paid trip to Disneyland.
Children selected for this flight are affected by social, physical or medical circumstances and may never have the opportunity to go to Disneyland. It is truly a “dream” come true for these children who face incomprehensible challenges in their lives. For one fun-filled, action packed day, they can forget all their troubles and just be kids at the Happiest Place On Earth.
To date Dreams Take Flight Vancouver has taken over 2350 children to the magical kingdom of Disneyland. Our charity’s personal mission is to expand these children’s horizons and thinking, to inspire them to set and pursue their own goals. It starts with a dream, which becomes their reality.
