Espiritu Vocal Ensemble is presenting a concert entitled “Everything That Counts”. Trent Worthington’s composition “and Einstein said” has inspired Artistic Director Anita Comba to create a program framed by Einstein quotes. The ensemble’s versatility and universal appeal lend perfectly to selections mirroring Einstein’s clever, profound, and often delightfully cheeky quips: “When you are courting a nice girl, an hour can seem like a second. When you sit on a red hot cinder, a second can seem like an hour. That’s
relativity!”
From Flamenco to Folk, Contemporary to French Romantic, Madrigal to Indie Pop, this concert will provide something for all. A Larry Nickel arrangement of Gordon Lightfoot, and an iconic Neil Young song are just some of the Canadian content Espiritu features.
Instrumental spotlights on the Martin Pasi Opus 10 played by Miri Lee and expert harmonica will be impressive additions.
Start spring with this vibrant concert and discover, as Einstein said, “Everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted”.
Performances at 2pm and 7:30pm
