There are more than 4 million Canadians in recovery from addiction, contributing to the health and well-being of our communities. Best selling author, Ann Dowsett Johnston is one of them. She takes a hard look at the stigma around the disease of addiction. As well, she explores closing gender gap on problematic drinking, the role of marketing, campus culture, plus socio-economic pressures influencing the way in which women drink. Her aim: to jumpstart a national dialogue on a public health challenge.
