Event Details

Langara Family YMCA

Kids Help Phone’s Walk so Kids Can Talk presented by BMO, is a fun, healthy, family friendly event that can be enjoyed by individuals, groups, families, students, schools, and corporate teams. It’s a terrific way to build community and come together to enjoy a great experience outdoors while supporting a vital cause: young people’s mental health and well-being.

Children and youth aged 5 – 20 reach out to Kids Help Phone when in need on many issues facing you people today including bullying, self-harm, eating disorders, sexual orientation, physical and sexual abuse and suicide. Kids Help Phone is the leading national anonymous, confidential and non-judgmental counseling service available to Canadians kids and youth 24/7/365 and is often the only life line kids and youth have when they have no one else to turn to or speak with or who might understand what they are going through.

Our walk is our largest national fundraising event and ensures that we can continue to be there for 5,000 contacts we receive weekly from kids and youth in need.
