Mark Sager grew up in Dundarave and West Bay and has been a resident of West Vancouver all his life. He attended West Bay Elementary and Hillside Secondary School before attending UBC, the Université de Provence in Aix-en-Provence, France and UBC Law School. He was first elected onto the West Vancouver School Board in 1979 followed by three terms on Council and finally Mayor from 1991 to 1996. After serving almost 18 years in public office, he was elected again in 2022 and continues to serve the community with the same dedication to fiscal responsibility, transparency and thoughtful governance.
