The contest is running again! First Prizes of $100 will be awarded in fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Submissions must be original material that has not appeared in any other publication or on the Internet. Entry deadline is FEBRUARY 29, 2016.

Original Material:
All submissions must be original material that has not appeared in any other publication or on the Internet.
Categories, Word Count and Number of Entries:
Fiction – maximum 2,000 words per entry
Non-Fiction – maximum 2,000 words per entry
Poetry – one to three poems constitutes one entry; to a maximum of 2,000 words.
Multiple entries are acceptable
Cost:
$15 per entry for North Shore Writers’ Association members
$20 per entry for non-members
Prizes:
First Prize in each category will be $100.00.
Second Prize in each category will be $50.00.
Third Prize in each category will be $25.00.
Winners Announced:
Winners will be announced at the North Shore Writers’ Festival on April 16, 2016.
Blind Judging in Effect:
To ensure judges are unaware of the entrant’s name, each submission must have the name of the entrant on the Cover Sheet only. See details for Cover Sheet and Format of Entries below.

• Letter sized white paper (8 ½” x 11” )
• 1” margins on all sides
• Double spaced (Single spacing may be used for poetry)
• Times New Roman type face
• 12 pt. type size
• Each page to have title and page number only to ensure blind judging
• Word count at the bottom of last page
Entries that do not meet these requirements may be rejected. No communication with the entrant will take place if this occurs.
