Rebecca Lees for West Vancouver Councillor

West Vancouver should not become a place where seniors who have spent years living in and contributing to the community and young families find themselves needing to leave because they can no longer afford to live here. We need to look at thoughtful, appropriate housing options that give younger families, downsizing seniors and people who work in our community more opportunities to stay in West Vancouver. That doesn’t mean development without limits or planning. It means smart development that fits our neighbourhoods, respects our character and responds to the needs of our community. I want to see a West Vancouver where seniors and their contributions are respected and supported as well as where our children and grandchildren have a realistic opportunity to build their lives here.
