This exciting and hands on workshop centres on the culture and music Milton Randall learned while living in the remote Volta region in Ghana, West Africa. We start by learning how the drums are a form of language and uses this theme to work in African, Brazilian, and other forms of popular rhythms. The entire class (armed with an African drum we provide) learns age-appropriate drumming and dance. The whole day ends in an audience friendly participation performance by the class, and culminates in a huge conga line. Milton has excellent teaching skills and gets everyone young and old, laughing and drumming throughout the day.
A great way to spend the Friday Pro-D day with the whole family!
