One of Canada’s most renowned blues-rock guitarists, DAVID GOGO, has performed with the legendary B.B. KING, BO DIDDLEY, GEORGE THOROGOOD, ZZ TOP, and JOHNNY WINTER. Gogo delivers Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”, the Procol Harum nugget “Whisky Train”, the Doors’ under-appreciated “The Changeling”, “I Found a Love” by Wilson Pickett and Elmore James’ “Please Find My Baby” with the quintessential Gogo twist. Along with his originals and other works, he electrifies the stage with sizzling, hard-rocking blues filled with heavy grooves, grit and emotion.
An incredible showman with cutthroat wit and virtuosic blues guitar playing, DAVID GOGO delivers a blistering live performance. An astonishing acoustic-ragtime-delta blues guitar talent, DAVID “ BOXCAR ” GATES is an up-and-coming new Canadian Blues shooting star. He has been mesmerizing audiences across Canada and the US with such hits as “Jump I Do”, “Train Travellin’ Man” and “Rain Will Come”. Heavily influenced by Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill Broonzy and Mississippi Fred McDowell, Gates’ Piedmont Blues stylings are drenched with bottleneck slide and alternate fingerpicking with a ragtime twist. He accompanies himself on the blues harp, mounted to a unique, homemade rack, constructed out of bicycle and lampshade parts.
