The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC presents GRAMMY-nominated jazz songstress, Cécile McLorin Salvant, in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Back by popular demand, the young winner of 2010’s Thelonious Monk Competition wooed audiences last season with her vocal power, soul, and breathtaking virtuosity. For this follow-up concert, the artist compared to such legends as Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan will share her beguiling interpretations of jazz standards and original works from the new album For One to Love.
