The Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra (VAMSO) season will close with Gorgeous Gershwin, a bright & boisterous journey through the American songbook, May 15, 2pm at the Orpheum Theatre.
Local luminary Leslie Dala will delight as Music Director and piano soloist with the young VAMSO artists in the jazz-tinged classical masterpiece, Rhapsody in Blue. The programme evoking the bustling spirit of New York in the Jazz Age will include beloved Gershwin works, An American in Paris and Porgy & Bess Suite.
