Why: Raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics BC

As an established Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run event throughout North America, the Polar Plunge has a lengthy history of people laughing and splashing for a cause. New to Vancouver, the Polar Plunge will have families, university students, law enforcement members, businesses, and celebrities jumping into the frigid waters of the Pacific Ocean at Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver on Saturday March 5th.

Plunge Day will include a pancake breakfast, hot beverages, a costume contest, prizes and giveaways, and other fun activities.

Plungers will be #FreezinForAReason – fundraising to bring quality sport training and competition to more than 4,400 individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout British Columbia.
