Calling all poets! Vancouver’s annual Haiku Invitational contest is back. Submit up to 2 unpublished haiku (in English) to the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival between March 1 and June 2 for your chance to get published! Winning haiku will be published in several publications including The Courier, receive celebrity readings and be featured in creative ways during the 2015 festival.
The theme this year is “Meet your neighbours.” We’d like you to tell us, in your haiku, the many ways cherry blossoms bring you closer to your family, your friends, your community and co-workers.
Top poems in 6 main categories (“Best of Vancouver” is new!, BC, Canada, United States, international and Youth) will be judged by haiku master, Marco Fraticelli.
