JDRF hosted its first virtual gala in 2020. Thanks to an incredible group of donors, sponsors, and supporters it saw huge success, raising over $700,000.
JDRF has held galas in Vancouver since 1999, in Victoria since 2004, and Kelowna since 2005 — a combined 53 years of events that have raised over $22M for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our galas incorporate a mixture of excitement and emotion, activity and entertainment, elegance and fun. But one thing is for certain: they are a great way for you to show your support for the T1D community and accelerate T1D research.
JDRF’s primary focus continues to be funding critical T1D research. We have been a part of every major scientific advancement in T1D research in the past 40 years, and with your help, we are moving towards a cure as quickly as possible. With this year marking 100 years since insulin was discovered, we are excited to look back and reminisce about some of these significant achievements.
