Kids Up Front is a non-profit charitable organization that provides access to arts, culture, sports and recreation for kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
We currently partner with 109 child-serving, registered agencies across Greater Vancouver to make sure a ticket never goes to waste and that it gets into the hands of those who could use it the most — children and youth facing multi-barriers. In Vancouver, since we opened our doors in June 2004, we have distributed more than 210,000 experiences at a total value that surpasses $6 million dollars.
While our primary focus is to provide kids with access to entertainment and educational opportunities, our intent is to have a deeper level impact. Experiences that once were considered unattainable, suddenly offer positive social interaction and an opportunity to break down barriers. The agencies we partner with provide the basic essentials of life — typically identified as minimum levels of food, clothing and shelter, but in addition, we provide the often neglected nourishment of the spirit, another crucial element for healthy development.

At Kids Up Front we know that during any given event, tickets we have shared have inspired a dream, which changed a kid’s life, which created a brighter future… In 2011, Kids Up Front provided 34,903 quality experiences valued at more than $1,089,044 thanks to the generosity of individuals and corporations supporting our efforts to develop and deliver our unique programs.

How do I sign up?
It’s easy!
1.Visit Kids Up Front’s Charity Challenge fundraising page to register for the Half-Marathon or 5K walk/run.
2.Select Kids Up Front as your recipient charity.
3.Follow the link in your confirmation email to set up a personal fundraising page.
Now you’re ready to start online fundraising! Check in to your personal fundraising page to send solicitation emails or view your fundraising results.

Fundraise as an Individual –
Sign up as an individual. You can create or join a fundraising team later if you want to.
Create your own Fundraising team –
Team Captains can create their teams (2 or more people) by entering a team name & description.

•Let everyone know your reasons for running or walking on behalf of Kids Up Front. Include stories or photos that inspire you.

•Add a link to your fundraising page as part of your automatic email signature.
